Cardinal Plant is an adaptable North American stem plant with broad leaves and a clean, upright growth habit. When grown underwater, its foliage transitions to an attractive light green that adds contrast to darker aquarium plants.
Its steady growth and manageable size make it an excellent choice for the midground or background. Plant several stems together to create a structured group, or use it in rows for a classic Dutch-style planted aquarium.

Planting Instructions
Remove the plant from its pot and gently rinse away the growing material. Separate the stems and plant them individually about 1–2 inches apart. Trim the tops as needed and replant healthy cuttings to create a fuller group.
Cardinal Plant is often grown above water before sale, where its leaves may appear darker green with purple undersides. These original leaves may change or shed after planting as the plant develops new light-green submerged growth.
Live plants may vary naturally in height, fullness and color. Minor leaf loss or melting can occur after shipping while the plant adjusts to aquarium conditions.
