Setup

Connect the sponge filter to a compatible aquarium air pump using airline tubing. Place the filter inside the aquarium and turn on the pump. An optional airflow control valve can be used to adjust the bubble strength.

Cleaning

Gently squeeze or rinse the sponge in water removed from your aquarium. Do not use soap or untreated tap water, as either may harm the beneficial bacteria living in the sponge.
