Keep your aquarium water clean with gentle, air-driven filtration. Available in five sizes, this complete sponge filter kit provides biological and mechanical filtration without creating a strong current.

It’s a great choice for bettas, shrimp, fry, snails, small fish, planted tanks, breeding setups, and quarantine tanks.

Choose Your Size

  • Up to 10 gallons — 5 feet of tubing
  • Up to 20 gallons — 5 feet of tubing
  • Up to 30 gallons — 5 feet of tubing
  • Up to 50 gallons — 8 feet of tubing
  • Up to 60 gallons — 8 feet of tubing

What’s Included

  • 1 sponge filter in your selected size
  • 5 or 8 feet of airline tubing
  • 1 one-way check valve
  • 1 airflow control valve
  • 3 airline suction cup clips

Why Choose a Sponge Filter?

  • Gentle flow for sensitive fish and shrimp
  • Biological and mechanical filtration
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Quiet and easy to maintain
  • Ideal for planted, breeding, grow-out, hospital, and quarantine tanks

Setup

Connect the filter to an aquarium air pump using the included tubing, check valve, and airflow control valve. Install the check valve with its airflow arrow pointing toward the aquarium.

Cleaning

Gently squeeze or rinse the sponge in water removed from your aquarium. Avoid untreated tap water, which may harm the beneficial bacteria living in the sponge.

Please Note

  • Air pump required; not included.
  • Tank ratings are maximum recommendations.
  • Heavily stocked or heavily fed tanks may need a larger filter, multiple filters, or additional filtration.
  • Filter appearance and dimensions vary by size.
