Aponogeton longiplumulosus is a striking Madagascar bulb plant known for its long, rippled leaves. The distinctive, textured foliage adds graceful movement and makes an eye-catching centerpiece or background plant in a medium to large freshwater aquarium.

New leaves emerge from the bulb and gradually unfurl into long, wavy foliage. This plant appreciates moderate lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate to support healthy growth.

You will receive: 1 Aponogeton longiplumulosus bulb or sprouted plant, depending on its current growth stage

Planting Instructions

Place the bulb in the substrate with the growing point facing upward and positioned at the substrate surface. Avoid burying the sprout. A nutrient-rich substrate or occasional root tab can support stronger growth.

Aponogeton longiplumulosus may naturally enter a dormant period and temporarily lose its leaves. This does not necessarily mean the bulb has died. Leave a firm bulb undisturbed and allow time for new growth to return.

Live plants vary naturally in size, color and leaf count. Minor bending, leaf loss or melting can occur after shipping while the plant adjusts to new aquarium conditions.
